Thirsty Thursday & Hungry Hearts #3 – The Hidden Oracle

mother's day special-

Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is a weekly meme hosted by (un)Conventional Book Views. The idea of Thirsty Thursday and Hungry Hearts is to share a quote with food or drinks that showed up in a recent read, as well as if it’s something you think you’d like or not. This week is from The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan.

“Cheer up,” Meg told me. ” Who’s that guy you wanted to see-the guy on the Upper East Side?”

“Another demigod,” I said. “He knows the way to a camp where I might find shelter, guidance, food-”

“Food?” Meg’s ears perked up almost as much as the points on her glasses. “Good food?”

“Well, normally I just eat ambrosia, but, yes, I suppose.”

Ambrosia – In Greek mythology, ambrosia was considered the food or drink of the Olympian gods, and it was thought to bring long life and immortality to anyone who consumed it.

Definitely not the food that we eat, but if the Gods eat it then I’m sure it’s delicious.
